This pregnancy is flying by now!! Got my first baby gift today in the form of a very beautiful blanket crotched by my friend at uni, Lucy. It’s lush and I cannot wait to squish the handmade baby underneath it!! It’s definitely going in my hospital bag!

(When the sun/light comes back out to play i’ll take a photo)!

It’s something when you realise you’ve become bad at your job. 11 weeks till this baby is due to arrive and i’m really beginning to feel the burn. Sore feet, bad back, swollen ankles, indigestion, heartburn, etc!!

3 weeks till my final pieces are due to be handed in too.

I can’t wait to finish university & work so I can just sleep all day!

I JUST BROUGHT THE MOST PERFECT FABRICS FOR MY NURSERY FURNITURE!
I’ve had my eye on these beautiful Sarah Watson fabrics since I first saw them and heard they were coming out. I was just trying to find the right reasons to buy them/justify spending the money.
And the fact that my beautiful new rocking chair doesn’t have any fabric for the seat was possibly the right situation for these fabrics to be purchased!

Only I managed to justify buying a whole bundle as well as enough for the seat cover because I decided this would be the fabric I would use for the babies cot too.
So now I get to make a lush bumper to go round the cot & some other goodies hopefully!! Maybe even a little quilt?

OH GOD I HOPE THEY ARRIVE QUICKLY, I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THEM!!!!

I just agreed a price on a handmade rocking chair from one of the guys on my course for the babies nursery!!!!!!

I’ve always wanted a rocking chair and now I have one! Well, I don’t have it & I wont get it until after New Designers in July but I am more than happy with that because it means other people can gaze at it but can’t have it. But I am so stoked to have a piece of someone’s work in my nursery. It’s so beautifully crafted, i’m so glad he agreed to sell to me!!

A lot of the furniture in the nursery tells a story and that’s something I’m so keen on.
